Go High Level Review
While there’s no shortage of CRMs, landing page builders, funnel builders, email and text marketing software…
… too many tools often create problems (especially when you need to make sure they all work seamlessly together).
Enter Go High Level.
This platform has seen a lot of growth in the last year alone.
But why is that?
In this Go High Level review, we are going to take a deep dive into what sets Go High Level (GHL) apart from established competitors… and whether GHL is worth switching over to.
Pros
Let’s start by looking at the pros;
- Your clients can’t just steal the entire system
One of the biggest benefits of GHL is that your agency has so much control over everything.
You don’t have to set up assets in your clients’ accounts, only to see them leave a month later and take all of your hard work with them.
- GHL Streamlines everything
You don’t need multiple systems that need to be integrated between each other.
No more tying together dozens of software with Zapier and hoping nothing breaks.
With GHL, so many tools are native to the platform and they work perfectly because of that.
- Clone entire accounts between clients with everything set up
If you work with multiple clients in the same industry, chances are you’re building the same or similar campaigns for all of them.
Even if you’ve made everything templated, it still requires a lot of work to set up new accounts and tie everything together.
With GHL… you can clone entire accounts with a click of a button.
- Short learning curve
The beauty of GHL is that they are not trying to recreate the wheel.
They know that users of popular software (like Clickfunnels, Active Campaign, and others) like doing things a certain way… users don’t want to relearn everything from scratch.
So… expect to see a lot of functionality being similar to your favorite software interfaces.
Oh, they also have lots of tutorials and AMAZING customer support (get answers within minutes, not hours or days).
- Massive follow-up potential
Originally, GHL was built as a powerful follow-up platform.
You could send emails, 2-way SMS, and social media (like Facebook Messenger), and more.
It’s even more powerful now because it has a built-in CRM that allows you to tag prospects based on their actions and easily remove them from campaigns when they’ve completed an action (it even tracks calls and removes prospects from follow-up campaigns automatically).
- Easy to track everything, including calls, texts, clicks, responses
Clients only stick around when they see that they’re getting far more value in return.
Proving that your campaigns are generating significantly more value than they are paying you… is critical if you want to grow your agency.
GHL makes tracking easy and tracks each step of the stage.
- You can easily white label it
Your clients won’t have a clue as to what software you’re using to get them great results.
And even if they did realize you’re using GHL… the platform is designed for agencies and agencies only!
Finally…
It replaces so many software that you’ll easily save money each month on software:
- Replaces Calendly,
- CRMs like Pipedrive,
- Funnel and landing page builders like Clickfunnels,
- Autoresponders and email campaign senders,
- Form and survey builders …
They even rolled out a full website builder (where you can clone entire websites between client accounts).
Cons
Now let’s look at the cons…
- It’s not good for e-commerce
If you have many e-commerce clients, GHL is not right for you.
Their development focus has centered around marketing agencies that are doing lead generation.
Auto Dealers, Chiropractors, CrossFit, Gyms, Dentist, Hair Salons, Home Services, Mortgage Lenders, Pest Control, Restaurants, solar, etc.
Basically, any type of brick and mortar business where you are running lead generation type campaigns.
But not so much people trying to sell a physical product or doing dropshipping, etc.
Honestly…
I researched for additional cons but I couldn’t find much…
Even though the platform is newer than most of their competitors, it’s surprisingly way less buggy than some of the competitors. I often find more bugs on established platforms (that only do one thing like building funnels or sending emails) then I do with GHL.
How Go High Level Is Different
GHL is Built For Agencies… By Agencies
With over 2151 agencies using GHL that have generated over 12 million leads…
GHL has the tools you’ll need, and they are adding new features consistently.
Everything is native, so you don’t have to build complex systems, string together dozens of software, create 50 zaps, and hope that everything works and nothing brings down the entire system.
Like I mentioned earlier, they are constantly updating their platform, including;
- Adding new features to existing systems (like improving their email capabilities, more tagging options, etc.)
- Bringing on entirely new systems, like their recently launched full website builder
- Speeding up their platform so that your team and your clients are getting things done faster within GHL
- They even have a place where you can make recommendations and vote on new features to add (which they deliver on)
You can white label it so your clients can’t just steal everything and stop paying you…
Honestly, it simply works.
In our next section, we are going to dive into the features currently available in GHL.
Main Features & Systems
Capture New Leads
GHL basically gives you all the lead generation tools you need.
- Full websites
- Funnels
- Landing pages
- Drag & drop surveys and forms
- Online appointment scheduling
Nurture Leads Into Customers
Successful agency owners understand the power behind nurturing leads.
With GHL, you get;
- Email autoresponders and blasts
- SMS sending options (and you can reply back on any device, including your desktop and mobile app)
- Call notifications sent to sales reps
- Voicemail drops
- Facebook Messenger conversations handled within the GHL interface (and linked to customer profiles inside CRM when applicable)
It’s easy to customize campaigns… but more importantly, it’s easy to REMOVE people from follow-up campaigns when they’ve taken action (even if they called you through the number in their CRM profile).
Close More Deals
Often a big pitfall with clients is their LACK of proper sales follow-up.
Now you can easily set up automated follow-ups that stop the minute you want them to.
- A powerful CRM that is natively connected to all other tools inside GHL
- Automated follow-up sequences that can be customized with email, SMS, voicemail drops, and call notifications to sales reps
- Easily control the sales pipeline and set automated campaign triggers based on where each lead is at
- Collect customer payments
- Reputation management options allow you to set up a single click review link, and make it super simple for customers to leave a review
- And all the analytics & reports in one place
Support Options
First off… they have excellent customer support!
Far better than most leading software providers.
What’s more is that their software has surprisingly few bugs, considering they are a newer company and always releasing new features.
Here’s a breakdown of their support options;
- Instant chat options
While most software providers have a chat option, you’re often waiting for hours or days before someone replies.
I don’t believe I’ve ever waited longer than 10 minutes for a reply.
Most of the time, they get back to me in under 5 minutes through their Slack channel.
- Plenty of tutorials
Just like all the best software providers out there, they have plenty of tutorials as you would expect.
No matter the feature you’re trying to implement, they’ve already made a tutorial for it.
- A dedicated, active Facebook Group
The cool thing about their Facebook Group is that it’s active!
Users are sharing ideas and ways to implement them.
Their support team is usually around and answering questions…
… even the co-founder is commenting regularly and answering questions.
- Dedicated idea boards
Because they are continuously improving their platform, GHL has set up a board where users can bring up new features that they want to see… and users then vote on what the developers focus on next.
To put it bluntly, GHL is here to help you build your agency.
Pricing
There are two plans available.
The $97/month plan is for a single business. You won’t have the option of bringing new clients on-board your account and sharing assets between accounts. But you can start here and use this option for your own business. This will help you manage all your lead flow, build your pipeline, and automate your follow up.
If you are running a marketing agency, and already have clients, you’ll want to look at the $297/month plan. You get unlimited accounts for this price. Unlimited funnels, websites, surveys forms, and more.
This will allow you to service your clients and make your life easier.
They also have an option for a fully white-labeled mobile app (which your clients and their sales reps can use to access their accounts) and a custom zap set up for your brand. However the CRM is already white-labeled. But if you want to take it one step future and white label your own mobile app you can do that too.
Conclusion
Do I recommend Go High Level to other agencies?
Absolutely!
In fact, I’ve moved my own agency over to GHL and many of my clients are on the platform (through my portal).
The best part about GHL is that it has all of the tools you and your clients are going to need…
… and it all works together BECAUSE these tools are native to the platform.
No more stringing together 10 different software with Zapier!
If you are still on the fence, GHL has a free 14-day trial.
Don’t just take my word for it, play around with the platform and see for yourself.
If you are serious about streamlining your agency and delivering more value to your clients…
